D-Green is effective in controlling the box tree moth: it is a physical control method that involves spraying the leaves and stems with D-Green. Originally used to remove greenish deposits on wood and stone without insecticides or biocides, this product, formulated from mineral materials, saves stems and leaves from the predator. Indeed, the stems and leaves will no longer be edible for the moth. Tests are conclusive. Two to three sprayings are required within 2 to 4 weeks. Then, prune the boxwood. The leaves will grow back. This product contains no substances toxic to insects, birds, or other wildlife.
