Used primarily for exterior renovation projects, Granulo Šyl is a mineral-based bonding primer characterized by its quartz grain.
It offers excellent adhesion to old paint and allows for filling small cracks (< 1 mm).
Granulo Šyl is used as a primer before applying Šyl Out and Šyl In silicate paints, or the smoothing coat (item no. 8320) or ArchiKal 900 coating (item no. 8305).
The main component of Granulo Šyl is a mixture formulated from sodium silicate. Granulo Šyl is water vapor permeable and has a neutral odor.
It increases adhesion through silicification on mineral substrates, but can also be used on non-mineral substrates.
Granulo Šyl is applied as a white primer coat on plaster, silicate, hydraulic lime, lime-cement, hemp lime, cement mortar, or synthetic renders.
It is also intended for application over old silicate or dispersion paints and on all WDV-EPS type insulation panels, etc.
